Reserved for Veterans Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. ​Founded in 2023, the Reserved for Veterans Foundation is deeply rooted in the legacy of Leon Scott, Jr., a homeless Navy Veteran who tragically lost his life on a park bench in Charleston, SC after years of dedicated service to his country. Our foundation stands as a testament to his memory and the countless other veterans who face similar struggles. We are committed to being a pillar in this great nation, tirelessly working to eradicate veteran homelessness and ensure that no veteran is left without a safe place to call home.
Our mission is twofold: to eradicate veteran homelessness and to provide sustainable veteran communities. We engage in innovative housing solutions tailored to the unique needs of veterans and their families, ensuring they have access to safe, stable housing. Beyond housing, we offer comprehensive care and support through ancillary resources, including health care, job training, legal assistance, and educational opportunities. Our Veterans First approach prioritizes getting veterans into housing and then providing the wraparound support they need to stay housed and thrive.
At Reserved for Veterans Foundation, collaboration is key. We work hand-in-hand with federal, state, and local agencies, employers, housing providers, faith-based and community nonprofits, and other partners to expand employment and affordable housing options for veterans exiting homelessness. Together, we are building a future where every veteran has the opportunity to live with dignity and security, honoring their service and sacrifices with the support they deserve.
